Often with strong theoretical positions, each programme could be characterised as a space of learning, a network, and community that revolves around an immediacy, based on a relationship between artistic practice and locale. Art unfolds in these settings as social practice where the site functions simultaneously as an environment of production and a space of critique and reception.
